# The free week

> A week of unlimited runs that starts with your first test run.

Every new workspace gets one free week of unlimited test runs. You need no card, and nothing is charged when it ends.

## When it starts

The week starts when your workspace's first run starts. That run can come from the app, the CLI, Re:agent or a GitHub rule.

Creating a test does not start the week. That includes your first test during setup, which Rehearsal writes and checks for you.

Each workspace gets the week once.

## When it ends

The week lasts for seven whole days after the day it starts. It ends at midnight in your workspace's time zone. A week that starts on a Tuesday afternoon ends when the next Tuesday ends.

Set the time zone in your workspace settings, under **Name & visuals**. Billing dates and emails use it.

**Usage and plan** shows the last day of your week and the time left.

What counts is when a run starts. A run that starts inside the week is free, even if it finishes after the week.

The workspace's first owner gets an email when the week starts. More follow three days and one day before it ends, and when it ends.

## During the week

Run as many tests as you like. Runs in the week come out of the week, not out of your plan's monthly runs.

## Choose a plan during the week

You can choose the Starter or Team plan before the week ends. Stripe saves your card, and nothing is charged during the week.

The plan starts when the week ends, and so does its payment. **Usage and plan** shows the date of the first payment.

Cancel the plan before the week ends, and nothing is charged. Your free week stays as it is.

## After the week

If you chose a plan, that plan starts. If you did not, the workspace is on the Free plan, with 25 test runs a month.
