# Scheduled runs

> Run a suite at chosen times and hear when it fails.

A schedule runs a suite automatically against the addresses you choose. Creating or changing one needs the **Manage projects** permission.

## Add a schedule

- Open the suite under **Tests**. Find **Schedule** and press **Add schedule**.
- Choose daily, weekdays, weekly, or every few hours.
- Choose the time zone and an address for each app.
- Press **Save schedule**. The suite shows when it runs next.

Daily and weekly times follow the time zone you chose. The next run time follows the time zone on your device.

Hourly schedules offer intervals of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours. They follow the local clock, starting at midnight.

When daylight saving skips a chosen time, it moves forward by the clock change. Repeated daily and weekly times run once.

Skipped midnight runs move to 01:00 in Santiago, Havana and Beirut. On Lord Howe, skipped 02:15 runs move to 02:45.

## What runs

Each scheduled run uses the suite as it stands then. It uses the suite's enabled browsers and each test's selected screens.

Scheduled runs use the same allowance and spending limit as manual runs. A blocked start appears on the schedule with its reason.

After an interruption, a schedule catches up once per browser and screen. It then continues at the next scheduled time.

## Failures and recovery

The schedule owner gets an alert when a scheduled attempt fails. Members who explicitly enabled run reports get it too.

Repeated failures update one bell alert with a count. A passing run closes it and adds a recovery notification.

Open **Settings**, then **Notifications**, to change email and browser alerts. Each channel has switches for scheduled failures and recovery.

Email reports the first failure, the first refused start, and recovery. Email and browser alerts follow your channel settings.

Rehearsal outages do not add to your failure count. A recovery means every browser and screen passed.

## Pause or remove a schedule

Editing or resuming a schedule makes you its owner. Any member with Manage projects can take over a paused schedule.

Turn the schedule switch off to pause future runs. Turning it on starts from the next scheduled time.

Removing a schedule keeps its previous runs. Removing its suite or project pauses it without sending alerts.
