Files for uploads
Add a file a test uploads, such as a CSV to import or an image to attach.
When a flow uploads a file, the file has to be in the project first. Re:agent uploads project files only, and the test sends the same file on every run.

Step 1: Open Files
In Re:agent, choose the project in the menu at the top. Under Re:agent uses, choose Files.
Step 2: Press Add a file
Choose the file on your computer. Rehearsal saves it with the project. Adding a file needs the Manage projects permission.
A file can be up to 25 MB, in one of these kinds.

A file you attach in the chat is not a project file. Add it under Files for a test to upload it.

Name the file in your message. For example: "Import customers.csv on the Import page and check that 20 customers appear in the list."
Re:agent finds the file in the project and attaches it to the page. The step in the chat reads Attached customers.csv.
Re:agent uploads through a file field or a file picker. It cannot drag a file onto the page.
Replace or remove a file Link to Replace or remove a file
Press Replace on a file to upload a new version. Tests saved after that use the new version. Tests saved before keep the version they were made with.
Removing a file keeps saved tests working. They still upload the version they were made with.
Files another person receives Link to Files another person receives
In a flow with more than one person, Re:agent can check a file that one person sends and another downloads. It reads a text file, or looks at a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. It can also compare the file with the project file that was sent.
The written test downloads the file again on every run and makes the same check.
- Rehearsal cannot read words inside an image.
- Each browser keeps up to 12 downloaded files.
