Suites

Group the tests you run together, such as the checks for a release.

A suite is a group of tests you run together, such as your release smoke tests. It belongs to a project and can hold tests from any of the project's apps.

  1. Step 1: Open Tests

    Open Tests. The sidebar lists your suites under Suites.

  2. Step 2: Press New suite

    Give the suite a name and, if you like, a description of what it covers. The name must be unique in the project.

  3. Step 3: Add tests

    Open the suite and press Add tests. Pick the tests you want from the project's list.

You can also add tests from Tests. Select them and press Add to suite, or use Add to suite in a test's menu.

Creating and changing suites needs the Manage projects permission. A suite holds up to 200 tests.

Run a suite Link to Run a suite

Open the suite and press Run suite. Its tests run one after another, in the suite's order, in one run.

If an app in the suite has more than one address, Rehearsal asks where to run it.

A run keeps the tests it started with. A change you make to the suite while it runs applies to the next run.

The suite page says how many of its tests are ready. A test that has not passed in a fresh browser is not ready.

A suite with a test that is not ready still runs, but the run ends Blocked. A suite never passes on fewer tests than it holds. Fix the test, or remove it from the suite.

  • Tests in this suite lists each test with its readiness and its newest runs.
  • The run history chart shows the suite's newest runs. Height is how long a run took, and colour is its result.
  • Not in a suite, in the sidebar, lists the tests that no suite runs.

Remove tests or a suite Link to Remove tests or a suite

  • Removing a test from a suite keeps the test in the project.
  • Removing a suite keeps the runs it started and their results. The tests stay where they are.
